Hourly Rate: €35 per Hour
Most of my clients opt for the €35 per hour rates. The reason for this is that the project is often completed in less time than one would safely anticipate. By necessity, estimates must often err on the side of caution. However, a project that appears to have a high level of technical language may turn out to be relatively easy to translate; or a correction with many orthographic errors may in actuality be simple to fix. The hourly rate ensures that both parties are charged and compensated according to the difficulties required for the project. It is also convenient for projects, such as those involving webpage content, in which it is difficult to obtain an accurate word count.
In my experience, the hourly rate rarely –if ever– goes beyond what I would have estimated for the level of difficulty. It’s another option to consider.
