This site would not exist without the extremely generous help of Rob Howarth, ofPhreestyleDESIGN. Over the years, he has helped in designing, building and setting up this page in more ways than I can write down.
One of the things that truly impresses me from knowing Rob is the realization that it is possible to see a person without ever laying eyes on their face. Actions speak louder than words, it is true. Rob first started helping me out through an online forum in 2007, then contacted me by email and went from offering coding suggestions to –when the learning curve was too steep for me– actually creating my website. The few times that I offered him remuneration, he declined, writing that he preferred to “pay it forward.” Since then, he’s been paying it forward regularly for years.
It’s a lot harder nowadays to know the person you’re dealing with. Contracting services through the internet lacks that personal impression you get from reading faces, body language and tone.
